First up,
“Calle Ocho”
Basically, Pit who I have nothing bad to say about him added his lyrics to this edit of a house/mashup style of a song which i didnt’ like to begin with. I gotta hand it to Pitbull for jumpin on club tracks and makin them work. Nothing against you Pit, but I didn’t like the edit of song before you remixed it so it make the thumbs down list this week…
Now,
“Crack A Bottle”
The powerhouse 3. Dr. Dre, legendary hip hop producer, Eminem, his student and edgy controversial rapper, and 50 cent who not only has street cred to the street guys, but street cred from the guy who owns a business suit to the kid who seen his movie. Not a bad trio….. Anyhow, the song, catchy hook and 3 huge hip acts can’t go wrong. It has classic Eminem sound to it. It actually sounds like hip hop. So many “hip hop” songs get played lately that I wouldnt consider hip hop and more and more i find that hip hop has lost its sound. I can’t wait for it to find itself again. but Crack the Bottle, I dig it.
